Betty McCall Moody

Sister Betty McCall Moody was 67, and departed this life Friday January 6, 2023 in Florence County. She was the wife of Cleo Moody Sr. You may visit the family at 224 Meadowview Rd. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel on Monday January 16, at 2:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Greater Singletary AME Church Cemetery. 

~ Obituary ~

Betty D. Moody was born March 7, 1955 in Marion, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late John David McCall and Lillie Ann McCall.

In her earlier years she was a member of Greater Singletary AME and for 48 years Betty was married to Cleo Moody Sr. and their union was blessed with two sons. The late Cleo Moody Jr. and George David Moody Sr.

She was preceded in death by her son Cleo Moody Jr.

Betty is survived by her husband Cleo Moody Sr. of the home. George David Moody Sr. (Eve) of Marion. Granddaughters Na’Ziah Graham of McColl SC, Never Moody of Marion, SC, grandson Quincy Pee of Columbia, SC, Nasir Graham of McColl, SC, Malik Brockett of Gresham, SC, George Moody Jr. of Marion, SC A great granddaughter Kashlyn Pee of Columbia, SC., a sister Beulah Gause of Thomasville, NC, a brother Johnny McCall (Rebecca) of Marion, SC., two sister-in-law Georgette Robertson and Deloris MV Green of Alexandra, LA, three nephews and a host of other family and friends she loved dearly.

The family of Sister Betty McCall Moody in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state, and local community,  will hold a 100 person or less funeral service for their loved one with interment immediately following. While the Moody family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly, and those with chronic health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
