Belinda Hodge-Applewhite Obituary

Sister Belinda Pearl Hodge-Applewhite was 67 and departed this life Saturday December 14, 2019 in Baltimore Maryland. She was the significant other of Wilson Legette. You may visit the family at 317 Wiggins Ct. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel Thursday December 19, 2019 at 12:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in the St. James AME Church Cemetery, Ariel Crossroad.


Obituary 

Belinda P. Hodge Applewhite was born on November 1, 1952 in Mullins S.C. to the late Willie C. Hodge and Minnie R. Hodge. Belinda departed her life after a brief illness on December 14, 2019. 

Belinda attended Marion Elementary, Marion-Junior High School, and completed her secondary education in Paterson, N.J.

Belinda met her long time companion Wilson Legette in South Carolina and moved to Baltimore, M.D. where they resided until she departed.

Belinda worked at Chimes where she assisted with people that had development and behavioral problems until 2010 when she retired. 

Belinda leaves behind to mourn: long time companion of 35 years Wilson Legette, Children, Tyrone Sheron Applewhite of Dillion, S.C., Alberta Applewhite Gerald of Baltiimore, M.D., Carlton Remont (Lisa) Applewhite of Cary, N.C. siblings Van T. Hodge of Dillion, S.C., Ray Von Hodge of Mullins, S.C., Joseph Finklea of Mullins, S.C., Debra Finklea (Robert) Bellamy of Charlotte, N.C., Doris Finklea Trautwien of Dillion, S.C., Children she raised as her own, Jerome and Marcus Randolph and Bryant Doughty of Baltimore, M.D., thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
