Barbara Ann Gause

Sister Barbara Gause was 73, and departed this life Monday October 5, 2020 in Horry County. You may visit the family at 708 Drew Rd. Mullins. She was the mother of Tasha Townsend and Dana Gause.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel, Tuesday October 13, 2020 at 2:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at the Devotion Gardens Cemetery, Mullins.  Services will be live stream on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page. 

~ Obituary ~

  On Monday, October 5, 2020 Barbara Ann (Williams) Gause was called into the presence of her Heavenly Father. On July 30, 1947, she entered this world to the late Richard Williams and Lucille (Hughes) Williams. She was one of nine children, a sister Bertha McClellan, Herman Williams, and Harris Lee Williams all who preceded her in death.

She was educated in the Marion County Public School System and worked for Russell Stover Candies and then went on to work for Sara Lee Hosiery where she retired. She was united in matrimony to the late Billy W. Gause where two children were conceived. She was also a long time member of Sandy Grove Holiness Church of Marion, SC where she served as a Missionary, Deaconess, and a Member of the Voices of Praise for over 40 years.

She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memories two children Dana (Saretha) Gause, of Marion, SC and Tasha (Chris) Townsend of Florence, SC. 4 grandchildren, Shaniquia Heyward, Kenya Avant, Tashad Townsend, and Darrius Townsend. Six siblings, Ethel Conner, Dorothy Drayton, Richard (Henrietta)Williams, Deloris(George) Fore all of Marion, SC, Maceo (Doris) Williams of Cleveland, OH, and Barbara (Levon) Jacobs of Lake View, SC. One sister in law Barbara Williams and one brother in law Johnny McClellan both of Marion, SC along with a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.

The family of Sister Barbara Gause, in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Gause family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
