Antonio Locks Jr. Obituary

Mr. Antonio Richardo Locks Jr. was 17, and departed this life Monday October 19, 2020 Ibn Fayetteville North Carolina. He was the son of Antonio Locks and LaCrystal Locks Love. You may visit the family at the home of his grandmother at 82 Calvary Circle Rd. New Berry, SC 29108 and at the home of his mother 1134 Blankshire Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28314. At the request of the family everyone is required to wear a mask and practice social distance. 

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Henry L. Jackson Memorial Park on Friday October 30, 2020 at 10:00 am. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, 121 Calvary Church Rd. New Berry, SC. 29108. Services will be live stream on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page.

Antonio Richardo Locks Jr. affectionately Known as “AJ” “Pretty Ricky” and “Tony 3X” was born on September 8, 2003 in Florence South Carolina to Antonio and LaCrystal Locks Love. He was a resident of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Antonio gained his wings on Monday October 19, 2020 at the age of 17 at the Cape Fear Valley Hospital. 

Antonio grew up in Norfolk, VA and Newberry SC. He was a sophomore at Seventy-First High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina but also attended Newberry High School in Newberry, SC.  At the time of his death, he worked as a chef trainee at The Wings Company and had made plans to join the United Sates Army to become a Professional Chef after he graduated from high school. 

 Antonio loved music, fashion, and spending time with his family. He joined Calvary Baptist Church, where he gained an extended family and spiritual growth.

He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age. He was a very loving son, brother, grandson and uncle who would go to any length to protect his family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by two grandfathers Charles E. Hughes (Marion, SC) and Anthony Locks (Washington, DC). An uncle; Reginald Hughes (Marion, SC). Great Grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd and Vivian Coleman, Mr. and Mrs. Lee and Sallie Curry.

Mr. Antonio R. Locks leaves to cherish his memories: His father Antonio Locks of Newberry, SC, mother LaCrystal Locks Love and Stepfather Renard Love of Fayetteville, NC. Two grandmothers; Aquilla Hughes of Marion, SC, Frances Gallman (Bennie) Newberry, SC. One great grandmother; Mary Curry of Mullins, SC. Five brothers; Arkevious Chapman of Pomaria, SC, Kiyjuan Crooks of Newberry, SC, Raekwon Hughes of Fayetteville, NC, Renante Hunter of Norfolk, VA. Six sisters; Autumn Love of Raleigh, NC, Candace Thomas of Columbia, SC, Ceearah McRae of Virginia Beach, VA, Heaven Love of Fayetteville, NC, Kiara Walton of Norfolk, VA, and Renika James of Norfolk, VA. Five uncles; Charles Hughes Jr (Tomeka) of Hampton, VA, Donte Locks (Shawnta) of Columbia, SC, Derrick Hughes of Marion, SC, Roderick Hughes of Fayetteville, NC, Rodney Love (Paula) of Chesapeake, VA. One aunt; Patrice Mills (Arif) of Columbia, SC. Four special aunts; Kimberly (Jonas) Davis of Florence SC, Rose (Chris) Chambers of Richmond, VA, Shara Cross of Rains, SC and Vanessa (Jamie)Whitehead of Suffolk, VA. A best friend Aenija “Blue” Worley of Fayetteville NC and a best friend Trenton Hunter of Newberry, SC. A host of great aunts, great uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and teachers that loved him dearly. 

The family of Mr. Antonio Richardo Locks Jr., in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Locks family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
