Brother Antinon Davis was 53, and departed this life Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in Florence County. He was the father of Chavas Davis, Vas-Chay Ja'Na Davis, Shayna Alexandria Ja'Na Foxworth, Dejour Davis, the son of Lamar and Fannie Melette, the brother of Kimanton H. Leonard and Lewan Melette. You may visit the family at 2404 Bluff Rd. Marion. Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, September 19, at 11:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Old Neck Cemetery, Britton's Neck. Services will be live-streamed on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page.

Mr. Antinon “Twanny/Antwan” Davis, at the age of 53, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday,
September 12, 2023, at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), Florence, SC.
Antinon was born on January 4, 1970, in Dillon, South Carolina. He was the son of Fannie and
Lemar Melette and was the oldest of three children.
Antinon attended the public schools of Marion County, Marion SC, and graduated from Marion
High School, class of 1988. He attended Florence-Darlington Technical College, Florence, SC
and graduated from their Electrician Program. Antinon was employed at multiple jobs
throughout his life. He was employed with AgapeLand Daycare, Marion, SC, New York
Fashions, Marion, SC, Pee Dee Electric, Cooperative, Marion, SC, Sopacko, Mullins, SC and
Rayex Finishing Co., Marion, SC. Antinon later moved to Florida and remained there for 12
years. He held various jobs and positions during his Florida residency until his health began to
decline. He moved back home to Marion, SC, and lived with his parents until his untimely
death.
During his leisure time, Antinon enjoyed reading, listening to music, performing as a DJ,
spending time with various pets he owned (dogs and cats), gardening, playing basketball, and
enjoyed social activities with friends. Antinon never met a stranger and his goal was always to
lift the spirits of others, lend a helping hand, and bring joy and laughter into the lives of those he
loved.
Antinon is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, whom he cherished and loved
dearly, Ruth Woodberry Davis, grandfather, Major Davis, paternal grandmother, Alice Melette,
grandfather, Albertus Melette, multiple aunts and uncles, and other relatives.
Antinon leaves to cherish his fond memories, his parents, of the home, Fannie and Lemar
Melette. Four children: Shayna Alexandria Janae Foxworth of Florence, SC, Chavas J. Davis
of Darlington, SC, Dejour Antione Davis of Charlotte, NC, Vas’ Chay Jana Davis of Darlington,
SC. Siblings: sister - Kimaston H. (Anthony) Leonard, of Murfreesboro, TN, and brother -
Lewan Melette of Murfreesboro, TN. An uncle whom he considered as a brother: Robert D.
Davis of Florence, SC; An aunt whom he considered as a sister: Betty R. Davis of Florence,
SC. Two nephews and a niece, whom he loved dearly: Joshua A. Leonard and Caleb A
Leonard, both of Murfreesboro, TN, and Ny’sheria K. Gilchrist of Marion, SC. A host of supportive family and friends.
