Alphonso Ollis Crawford

Brother Alphonso Ollis Crawford was 76 and departed this life Saturday November 20, 2021 in Horry County. He was the father of Yniques Brown and Vanessa Wilson. You may visit the family 1308 Whitehall St. Marion. CDC guidelines will be followed, mask is required. 

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Florence National Cemetery on Monday November 29, 2021 at 1:00 pm. 

~ Obituary ~

Alphonso Crawford was born on July 22, 1945, to the late Clifton and Minnie Nelson Crawford. He departed this early life on Saturday, November 20, 2021.

He served his country as a Vietnam Veteran and was honorably discharged in 1971. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and later furthered his education and pursued a Master of Science in Education. He retired from a career in Public Broadcasting. 

In 1969 he joined into holy matrimony to Addie Bell Rhodes, and she proceeds him in death.

He leaves fond and cherish memories to his son Ynigues (Marquita) Brown and daughter Vanessa (Cedric) Wilson both of Marion, SC. One sister Daisy Mae Crawford of Myrtle Beach, SC. 2 brothers that proceeds him in death: Kenry Allen Crawford and James Troy (JT) Crawford. Eight grandchildren: Shalice, Jada, Kayla, Zhenique, Dionte, Callique, Ynigues II, and Chayce. two great grandchildren: Karsyn, and Kennedy 

Visitation 

The family will receive visitors at 1308 Whitehall St Marion, SC 29571. They will be following CDC covid guidelines. PLEASE WEAR MASK.

The family of Brother Alphonso Ollis Crawford  in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Crawford family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation
