Allene Eaddy Obituary

Mother Allene Eaddy was 83, and departed this life Thursday January 28, 2021 in Marion County. She was the mother of Valeria Davis.

Graveside services are scheduled to be held at the Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday February 5, 2021 at 11:00 am. Services will be live streamed on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page. 

~ Obituary ~

Ms. Allene Davis Eaddy, known to many as “Nana”. She was born in Marion South Carolina on February 16, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Haskell and Nether Reed- Davis. She departed this life on Thursday, January 28, 2021 in MUSC Hospital of Marion, Mullins South Carolina after a brief illness. 

Allene attended Terrell’s Bay High School and later began farming, housekeeping, and caregiver for most of her life. She gave herself to the Lord at an early age and joined the House of God Holiness Church in Centenary South Carolina.  

Allene was united in Holy matrimony to the late Jessie James Eaddy. They were blessed to rear one daughter Valeria “Teen” Davis.  

Her hobbies are fishing, flowers, gardening, showing love, and watching wrestling, her fishing partners are Leester Commedo and Darlean Davis. 

She was preceded in death by her two brothers: Arthur Davis and Lee Davis, five sisters; Ellen Chambers, Ruth Pee, Lula Mae Davis, Verlean Davis and Queen Elizabeth Davis-Legette. 

Allene leaves to cherish fond and loving memories one daughter Valeria “Teen” Davis, one granddaughter; Jenia (Chad) Williams, all of Centenary, SC, two great grandchildren; Latoya Davis of Mullins, SC and Rajohn Davis of Centenary, SC, two great great grandchildren; Zamiya Davis and Megan Eaddy both of Mullins, SC. Two sisters-in-law; Bertha Davis of Rains, SC and Elizabeth Wilson of Centenary, SC, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preston Finklea who would call her “Big Sis” of Centenary, SC and Annie Ruth Davis who would call her “Sister” of Poston, SC. God-children;  Clifford Legette of Centenary, SC, Regina Reed of Marion, SC, Patrice Davis of Centenary, SC, Christal Brunson Eady of Fairburn Georgia and Jim Roark of Centenary, SC.  

The family of Mother Allene Eaddy in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Eaddy  family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
