Brother Alphonso Godbolt was 71, and departed this life Saturday April 3, 2021 at his home in Marion County. He was the husband of Corrinnee Godbolt. You may visit the family at 1523 Wahee Rd. Marion.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel on Friday April 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at the Jackson & Daughters Cemetery, Marion.

Mr. Alfonso Spears Godbolt (71) was born in Dillon County South Carolina on August 27th, 1949. He was the son of Earl Godbolt and Savannah Spears Godbolt. He departed this life on Saturday, April 3rd 2021 at his home in the (Wahee Community) Marion, South Carolina.
Alfonso was educated in the Marion County School system and graduated from Johnakin High School in 1968. Upon graduation, he enlisted into the United States Army as part of the 82nd Airborne Division stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran having served in Vietnam from 1969-1971. After his military service, he worked for Sara Lee Hosiery for over 30 years.
He leaves behind to cherish his fond memories a devoted wife, Corrinnee W. Godbolt of the home. A son, Terry Wiggins of Marion S.C., Two daughters, Alison Godbolt of Norfolk Virginia and Lemaeka Davis of Florence S.C., one step son Vernon Perry of Darlington S.C., three brothers, Earl Godbolt Jr & Jean of Marion S.C., Curtis & Helen Godbolt of Marion S.C., and Sylvester & Pearl Godbolt of Sumter, S.C. Four sisters: Lillie Kate Walker of Plainfield, S.C. Mellie Huggins of Philadelphia, PA., Betty Campbell and Carol G. Williams both of Marion, S.C. one deceased brother, Clarence Godbolt, two deceased sisters, Dora Godbolt and infant Mary Ida Godbolt, one brother in law, Stanley Wiggins, ten grandchildren, Te’Yanna, Thorn, Michael, Devante’, Ja’Sean, Demarkus, William, Jasmine, Terry Jr., Trust and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family of Brother Alphonso Godbolt in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Godbolt family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
