Tommy Williamson

Bro. Tommy Williamson, 45, departed this life Saturday April 27, 2019 at his home in Marion County. He was the son of Ella Mae Williamson, the father of Tamiah Williamson and Tommy Williamson Jr. You may visit the family at 2621 Madison Ave. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Marion Saturday May 4, 2019 at 1:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

~ Obituary ~

On July 18, 1973 Tommy Williamson Sr. was born to the late Lawrence Williamson Jr. and Ella Mae Williamson of Marion, South Carolina. He was called Home on April 27, 2019, at his home in Rains, SC. 

He attended Terrell’s Bay High School and was a part of The Class of 1993. 

Tommy was a jack of all trades and according to him he could master them all. His wide area of expertise ranges from automotive engine repair, brick/stone masonry, carpentry, painting, cooking/grilling and a full-time comedian.

Tommy worked a variety of jobs from being a Repo-Driver, Car Salesman, Commercial Driving and Maintenance for the City of Marion. Tommy’s current position was an assistant manager at McCall Farms located in Effingham, SC until his untimely passing. He performed multiple job duties of training new employees, streamlining process flows, repairing minor equipment related issues, and strived to increase productivity and maintain high quality. 

He was preceded in death by two sister-in-laws; Shelia Williamson and Cathy Williamson

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories, his loving mother, Ella Mae Williamson of Rains, SC.,his children Tamiah Williamson & Tommy Williamson Jr. – mother of his children- Taneka Brown; longtime girlfriend – Chameka Daniels; two sisters Yvonne (Nehemiah) Hanner of Marion SC, Vernie Mae (Mitchell) James of Marion SC; four brothers Lawrence Williamson III of Rains SC, Willie James Williamson of Rains SC, Derrick (Tammi) Williamson of Covington GA, Matthew (Stephanie) Williamson of Loris SC, close nieces include Victoria, Erika, Cameila, Asia, Ebony, Alicia, Tammiah, and Ariyana, close nephews; Michael, Gavin, Chad, Roderick, Adrian, Derrick Jr., Akeem and Eric. One special friend/cousin- PJ Boatwright and a host of other relatives and friends. Tommy never met a stranger and was a friend and loyal companion to everyone he met. 

The personality that Tommy possessed built a relationship with his supervisor Wallace Cohen, this relationship lead to a Father-Son type of connection.
