Brother Tommy Thompson was 71, and departed this life Saturday December 21, 2019 at his home in Marion County. He was the husband of Darlene Thompson.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the New Life Praise and Worship Center, Rains Thursday December 26, 2019 at 2:00.

Tommy Thompson departed his life on December 21, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Tommy Thompson was born on Feb. 28 1948 to the late John Henry Tart and Fannie Mae Thompson in Zion S.C. He attended the public schools of Marion S.C. He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Darlene Boatwright on Sept. 2, 1967. To this union 11 children were born.
Tommy was preceded in death by a son Tommy Thompson Jr, brother Ransom Thompson and sister Reba Rowell and one son in law Ronald Green.
Tommy accepted Christ in his life during his young adult years. He became a faithful member and Deacon of New Life Holiness Church of Rains S.C. in the late 1970’s.
Tommy’s favorite phrase was “I’m a jack of all trades and a master of none”. He was employed by Sara Lee Hoisery, Raytex of Marion and a Brick Mason forman. Later in life he was self employed as a farmer and auto body mechanic. He enjoyed spending lots of quality time with his family.
Tommy leaves to cherish a loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Darlene Thompson and 10 children. Pennie Thompson, Denise Thompson, Angela Thompson, Tommy C. Thompson, Lachelle Thompson, Jacqueline Green, Quincy Thompson, Gail Thompson, Terence Thompson and Brandon Thompson. 24 grandchildren and 24 great grand children.
Siblings- Odessa Davis North Caarolina, Alberteen Felder of Columbia, Essie Brigman of Marion, Vondell (Marie) Roberts of Marion, Mary Alice (Woodlun ) McCall JR. of Latta, Flora Wilson of Marion and Awell Roberts of Palm Beach Florida, Alice (Soloman) Pettiford of Latta and Geraldine Tart of Mullins.
