Mother Theola Jones, 87, departed this life Friday September 13, 2019 in Florence County. She was the mother of Gloria Jones. You may visit the family at 706 Euclid St. Marion. 

Service arrangements are scheduled to be held at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, Marion Friday September 20, 2019 at 2:00 pm.

~ Obituary ~

Mrs. Theola Hines Jones, daughter of Robert and Evelina Hines of Claussen, SC was born on March 13, 1932, departed her life on Friday September 13, 2019 in Regency Hospital in Florence, SC after an illness. Theola worked diligently as a domestic engineer for many years until her health failed. She loved her flowers and plants and canning her vegetables as a pastime. She was a resident of Carlyle Nursing Center in Fork, SC.

At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and savior and joined Salem United Methodist Church in Claussen, SC. She later moved to Marion and joined Bethlehem Baptist Church and served on the Senior Choir.

She attended Marion County Training Center and graduated in the class of 1953. She met her lifetime husband Leanue Jones of Marion, SC, whom preceded her in death and to this union three daughters were reared. 

She leaves to cherish her three daughter; Linda Belin of Dillon, SC, Casandra Jones and Gloria Ann Jones of the home, two grandsons Rashawn Leanue (Maria) of Greensboro, NC and Anthony Dwayne McCray of Columbia, SC., five sisters; Margie Hines, Florence, SC, Susie McWhite of Florence, SC, Shirley Johnson of Florence, SC, Martha Spears of Philadelphia, PA and Mary Aikens of Brooklyn, NY, two uncles; Rev. Lawrence Harley of Florence, SC and Arthur Harley of Florence, SC, one aunt; Mary Harley of Florence, SC, one special niece Mamie “Doris” Kinney of Marion and two special nephews Rev. Dr. Mack T. Hines of Florence, SC, Tom Jones of Pleasantville, NJ, and a host of nieces and many relatives.
