Sterlin Marquche Swinton

Mr. Sterlin Swinton, 28, departed this life Wednesday June 12, 2019 in Asheville, NC. He was the son of Penny Swinton and the grandson of Evangelist Elizabeth Swinton. You may visit the family at 510 Johnson St. Mullins. Family Viewing will be Friday, June 21, 2019 at Jackson & McGill Funeral Home from 10-11am and public viewing from 11am -8pm. 

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Nazarene Baptist Church, Mullins Saturday June 22, 2019 at 2:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in the Nazarene Baptist Church Cemetery, Mullins.

On Tuesday June 11, Sterlin Maurquche’ Swinton was enjoying the beauty of nature when God called his name. On Wednesday June 12, he was officially proclaimed to be in the arms of the Lord.

Sterlin was born August 24,1990 in Asheville, NC, the only son of Penny Regina Lapel Swinton.

He attended the public schools of Marion South Carolina School District and Buncombe County North Carolina School District. As a child he attended Nazarene Baptist Church with his family. In school he excelled in Math and Football.

Sterlin leaves to cherish his loving memories his mother Penny Swinton , sisters; Quantika and Shytiqual Swinton of Asheville NC, his girlfriend; Ashley Weaver and their children; Skye, Keleia and Sy’ion Swinton of Asheville, a son; Zalen Swinton-Holt of Albemarle, NC, his father Theodore (Danielle) Green of Asheville, NC, five brothers and sisters. Grandmother Rev. Elizabeth Swinton of Mullins, SC, grandparents; Theodore and Geneva Green of Asheville NC, four aunts; Tammy, Avis and Felicia Swinton, Regina Green all of Asheville, NC, uncles; Willie, Tony and Eric Swinton of NC, great-aunts; Edna Smith and Gracie Davis of Mullins, SC, great-uncles; Willie, Roosevelt (Leola), Andrew, Albert (Betty) McClain of Mullins, Charles McClain and Gregory (Jeanetta) Green of Asheville, god-sister/cousin; Kelesha Swinton, special cousin; Kichina, Doma’Nik, DeShone, Xavier, Christionna, LaQuintin, La’Mtrey Swinton, his best buddies; Darrell Norris, Darmarco Pressley, godmother; Samantha Williams of Mullins, SC, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. And a special pet “Queen” of the home.
