Rose Mary Bethea

Sister Rose Mary Bethea 65, departed this life Tuesday October 29, 2019 in Florence County. She was the mother of Shea Gause and Miracle Bethea. You may visit the family at 333 Jade Court. Latta.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Everbee Baptist Church Monday November 4, 2019 at 1:00 pm.

~ OBITUARY ~

Rose Mary Bethea, daughter of the late Albertine Bethea and Daniel Gilchrist was born December 15, 1953, in Marion, SC. Due to the untimely death of her mother she was raised by her Aunt, the late Isabel Phillips. She quietly departed this life Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at MUSC Medical Center in Florence, SC. She was preceded in death by her brother, Steven A. Bethea.

Rose Mary attended the public schools of Dillon County and was a graduate of Lake View High School. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Everbee Baptist Church where she was a dedicated member. During her years at Everbee Baptist Church she served faithfully as member of the Choir,  and Missionary Ministry.

Her beautiful smile, spirit and pleasant personality will forever be cherished in the lives of  her children: Tanika “Shea” (Lewis) Gause of Latta, SC, Miracle Monique Bethea of Mullins, SC; four grandchildren: Jane`, Belle, Zyon and Jaden; five brothers Levern (Eunice) Bethea of Georgia, Steve (Wilma) Bethea of Texas, Pete (Pat) Phillips of Maryland, Dock Bethea Jr of Washington, DC and her very special “Go on now, leave me alone, I ain’t playing with you” brother Aaron (Barbara) Phillips; four sisters Jeanette Campbell of Latta, Golder Strother of Maryland, Gwendolyn (Keith) Gilchrist of New York and Orbiedella Gilchrist of Charlotte NC; sister-in-law, Veronica Bethea; a very special sister/cousin Sylvia Clark a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
