Rev. James Edward Williams 76, departed this life on Tuesday September 12, 2017 in Marion County. He was the husband of Evangelist Nellie Williams and the father of Willie Mae Berry, Lisa Gause, Emma Byrd, William Williams and William Earl Williams. You may visit the family at 302 Lincoln Place, Mullins, SC.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Mullins, SC  at 3pm on Monday, September 18, 2017 .

Rev. James Edward Williams, affectionately none as “Mr.Pig” departed this life on Tuesday morning September 12, 2017

Education

Rev. Williams received his education in the Public Schools of Marion County School District and continued his education at Morris College School of Religion.

Servitude of Employment

Rev. Williams was a dedicated employee if Pittman-Lesson Survey Company in Marion, SC for 40 plus years. The city all agrees he was the best plumber in all of Marion County.

New Beginnings with Christ

Rev. Williams received Christ and attended Pleasant Grove Holiness Church, under the leadership of the late Bishop Joseph Mason.  God called him into the ministry and became the former pastor of Mathew Hill Holiness Church in Hemingway, SC and then Ellen Chapel Holiness Church, Mullins, SC. He was the current pastor of Cornerstone Holiness Church Mullins, SC until his death. During the past two years, also attended the St. Paul Baptist Church Sunday School Ministry and Noonday Service at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church Mullins, SC.

Beloved Legacy

Rev. Williams was preceded in death by his parents David and Eliza Williams, Marion, SC and one sister Annie Ruth Smith New Jersey. Rev. Williams Leaves to cherish an everlasting legacy of: Love, A devoted and faithful wife, Nellie Gail Williams a blended family of eight children; Willie Mae Berry (The late Charles Berry) Dillon, SC, James Earl Williams, Marion, SC, William Edward Williams, Marion, SC, Lisa (Gregory) Gause, Dillon, SC, Emma (Joe) Byrd Dillon, SC, Tracy (Junohn) Dewitt, Columbia, SC, Michael Dewitt, Columbia, SC, Latosha (Brady), Hughes, Marion, SC. Two sisters; Alberta (Ronald) Newborn Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Ferleece Major Altamonte Springs, Florida. Two Brothers David (Yolanda) Moore, Marion, SC and William Henry Williams, Florence, SC. Two devoted and supportive family members Albertha M. Gerald and Corine Gurley. Three sister-in-laws Evangelist Hilda Howard and Doris Sealy, Anor, SC, Annie Odem, Patterson New Jersey.  And a host if nieces, nephews, grands and great-grands, great-great grands and extended family members.
