Father Paul Vanison. 81, departed this life in Marion County.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the New Mt. Zion AME Church, Sellers Saturday December 1, 2018 at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest in the New Mt. Zion AME Church Cemetery, Sellers.

Bro. Paul Vanison the ninth child of eighteen children born on Friday March 19, 1937 to the late Ernest and Christine Vanison in Piney River, Virginia.

Bro. Paul  joined the St. James Baptist Church, Roseland Virginia when he was ten years old. After graduating from high school Paul joined the United States Navy. He was diligent and loyal to the United States Government. After getting out of the United States Navy, Paul relocated to Washington DC, enrolled at American University College. After leaving school he worked at the Census Bureau and he also work security for the United States Government.

Bro. Paul married and from this union four children were born two boys and two girls. Later he remarried the late Ida Mae Vanison and relocated to South Carolina, where he joined New Mt. Zion AME Church, Sellers South Carolina.

Bro. Paul was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Christine Vanison, siblings; seven brothers and three sisters.

Beautiful memories of Bro. Paul will be cherished by his adopted daughter LaTisha Vanison, Vicky, Terry, Jeffery and Cathy  brother and sisters Mary Smith , Gustava Perry, Catherine Foster, Mildred Vanison and Eddie Vanison. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws and a host of relatives and friends. A very special and loyal friend Frank Jones.
