Nancy Nichols Obituary

 Mother Nancy Nichols, 71, departed this life Saturday January 12, 2019 in Marion County. She was the mother of Iris Nichols, River Hodge, Levern Nichols and Michael Bellamy. You may visit the family at 729 Foxboro Rd. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Greater Highway Church of Christ, Marion, Monday January 21, 2019 at 1:00 pm.

Mrs. Nancy Ruby Hodge Nichols, daughter of the late Noah Hodge and Ruby Raynor was born on October 1, 1947 in Mullins South Carolina. At the age of 71 she departed her earthly home on Saturday January 12, 2019 at Carolina Hospital System in Marion South Carolina.

Nancy grew up in Mullins South Carolina and worked at Russell Stover Candies for 30 years until she began to have health issues. She enjoyed going to the Flea Market on Saturday mornings and afterwards to Horne’s Restaurant to enjoy some grits and liver pudding.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Noah Hodge and Ruby Raynor, her husband Burney Nichols, her son Lerence “Peanut” Nichols, her sister Odessa Tucker and brother Jimmy Rogers.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children; River Hodge, Michael Bellamy, Iris Nichols and Levern (Wendy) Nichols all of Marion South Carolina, her sisters; Annie Mae Bolden of Marion South Carolina, Beverly Ann (Clarence) Williamson of Greensboro North Carolina, Esther Hodge and Jessie Hodge both of Philadelphia, PA, Glynis Carmack (Charles) of Brown Summit, NC,  and Rosie Murphy of Mullins South Carolina, her brothers; Billy Hodge of Fayetteville North Carolina, Robert Hodge of California, Ronnie (Lena) Ellis of Florida, Willie Lee (Jeanette) Rogers of Florence South Carolina, John Arthur Rogers of Philadelphia PA, Dwight Raynor of Greensboro NC, John (Sabrina) Hodge of Brooklyn NY and Lieutenant (Wendy) Hodge of Missouri, fifteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one aunt Louise Gause of Miami Florida, a special friend of fifty years plus Louise (Mack) Williamson of Penderboro, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
