Monique Johnson-Foxworth Obituary

Sis. Monique Johnson-Foxworth, 50, departed this life on Monday July 9, 2018 in Marion County. She was the wife of Gregory Foxworth, the mother of Janae Campbell, Kevin Johnson, step mother of India Gilbert, Jamar Foxworth and Kyrie Berry.  You may visit the family at 147 Jackson St. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Monument of Faith Church, Marion Saturday July 17, 2018 at 2:00pm. She will be laid to rest in the Devotion Gardens Cemetery, Mullins.

Monique Kathleen Campbell was born on September 16, 1967 in New York City, New York. She was the daughter of Sandra Campbell and Cleveland Fowler. She entered into eternal rest on Monday July 9, 2018 at Carolina’s Hospital System in Marion, South Carolina after battling with Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

At an early age Monique attended Mt. Zion Lutheran Church where she served on the choir and as a mentor for the youth groups. She attended school at Harry S. Truman High School in New York City. She started doing hair at the age of sixteen through the influence of her aunt Porsche Campbell and the attended Wilford Beauty Academy. She became a licensed cosmetologist and did hair for over thirty years. She also worked as a Billing Coding Specialist at Lincoln Hospital for six years until her health began to fail. She later moved to Marion, South Carolina, where she attended and joined Monument of Faith Christian Ministries.

Monique was preceded in death by two brother; Alexander Lee Harding and Cleveland G. Fowler Jr.

Monique leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving and devoted husband Gregory Foxworth, her children Janae D. Campbell and Kevin M. Johnson both of New York, her mother Sandra Campbell and father Cleveland Fowler both of New York, her stepchildren India Gilchrist, Jamar Foxworth and Kyrie Berry, four grandchildren all of Marion, SC, her sisters Tryace’ Hall, Texas, Nettiet Fowler, NY, Symone’ (George) Best, VA, Deborah Fowler, NY, her brother Terrence (Michelle) Hall, NY, Octavius Harding, Christopher Hall, Ronnie Gray, Anthony (Gi-Gi) Gary all of NY and Travis Boykin, TX, four sisters in law, two brothers in law, two special friends Ellen B and Audrey Campbell, special child Dmaiyah Waiters and a special friend and caregiver Maria Foxworth, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.
