Markeith Shane Gillard

Bro. Markeith Shane Gillard, 32, departed this life Tuesday May 21, 2019 in Florence County. He was the son of Melissa Gillard and Keith Robinson. You may visit the family at 901 N. Withlacoochee Ave. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Marion on Wednesday May 29, 2019 at 3:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in the Jackson & Daughters Cemetery, Marion. 

~ Obituary~

Markeith Shane Gillard was born on December 9, 1986 in Marion South Carolina to Melissa K. Gillard and Keith Wayne Robinson. Markeith departed this life at the age of 32 on May 21, 2019 after a brief illness.

Mark attended the public schools of Marion County SC. He is a graduate of the 2005 class of Marion High. After graduating Mark attended Denmark Technical College prior to moving back home. He was employed by Walmart , the Department of Disability and Special Needs, as well as the Family Dollar Corporation. Mark attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church as a child and became affiliated with St. James AME Church as an adult.

Mark was known to provide a bright moment in any situation. His smile was contagious. Mark had a heart of pure gold and would give you the last of anything he had. Mark was the backbone of his family. A very loving, trustworthy, respectful and  dependable person he was. He will truly be missed.

Mark leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories his mother; Melissa K. Gillard of Marion,SC , his father Keith ( Angela) Robinson of Lumberton NC; maternal grandmother: Evelyn Gillard (Johnnie) Roberts, of Marion; one brother Brian (Aaliyah) Gillard of Marion; one sister, Katika Gillard, five aunts; Racheal (James) Stanley, Kendell R. Samuels, Catha Spry, Retha Mae Adams and Avis Reaves, whom preceded him in death, all of Marion SC, a special uncle Ronald (Sylvia) Bell, three nieces;  Aubri Emori Gillard, Brenasia Lenay Gillard and ZyNijah Pernell; one nephew LaDarius Garner, special cousins; Marcus and Vikki Robinson, Sherry and Kent  Fields, JaOnna Stanley, Alesha (Jordan) Miles,  Jaimee (Joshua) Suber, his “babies”; James Stanley JR. Dilan Gillard, Neveah Gillard, Dacian and Terrell Williams, Marcus Jr. , Markell Robinson, Mason White and Jillani Sanders, all of whom he had an active role in nurturing and raising. Special friends Makeel Davis, Syesha Rogers and Khadajia Roberts, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
