Legrant "Bo-Dilly" Allen

Brother Legrant Allen aka "Bo-Dilly",  65., departed this life Saturday October 12, 2019 in Horry County. He was the father of Ashley Allen, Angela Allen and Legrant Allen. You may visit the family at 2315 Blackburn Rd. 

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel, Marion Saturday October 19, 2019 at 2:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in the Jackson & Daughters Cemetery, Marion.

Obituary 

Mr. Legrant “Bo-Dilly” Allen was born November 15, 1953 to the late Jack and Mary Alma Allen.

“Bo” attended the Dillon County public schools. His love for the outdoors kept him working as a farmer throughout the years, until his health began to fail.

“Bo” enjoyed talking with his family and friends about as he would say “The Good Ole Days”. He always had a good story to tell about his past that kept everybody laughing.

“Bo” was married to the late Mary Davis of Marion who was the mother of two daughters; Yolanda and Michelle of Charlotte, NC that her raised as his own.

He was preceded in death by three sisters Dorothy Mae Allen, Beatrice Scott, Hattie Crawford and one brother Len Boy Allen.

“Bo” leaves to cherish his fond memories two daughters; Ashley and Angela Allen both of Florence, SC, one son; Legrant  (Saniece) Allen Jr. of Gastonia, NC, four sisters; Carrie Francis Ratlif, Mary (David) Howard, Betty Allen and Jackie Nichols, one brother Roosevelt “Jim” Allen all of Marion, SC, one uncle Author Lane of Tabor City, NC, eight grandchildren. 

“Bo” had a very special friend Rodney Hickman of Whiteville, NC. He will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
