Sister Leanna Brown Johnson, 68, departed this life Tuesday August 6, 2019 in Columbia, SC. You may visit the family at 5314 N. Hwy. 501 Marion, SC.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the New Greater Singletary AME Church, Wahee Monday August 12, 2019 at 1:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in the New Greater Singletary AME Church Cemetery.
~ Obituary ~
Leanna Brown Johnson was born March 8, 1951 to the late Tommy Joe Danzler and Edna Brown. She departed this life on August 6, 2019 in Columbia, SC. She accepted Christ as her Savior and joined Door of Hope Christian Church. She later joined New Greater Singletary AME Church in the Wahee Community.
She attended schools in Marion South Carolina, where she graduated from Johnakin High School. After graduating she started working at Russell Stover Candies for thirty years and Flying J for seven years. She met and married General Johnson, they were married for twenty five years and this union was bless with five children.
Leanna was preceded in death by her parents Tommy Joe Danzler and Edna Brown, her husband Jimmy Joe Danzler and a host of aunts, uncles and grandparents.
She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters: Sharon (Anthony) James of Gresham, SC, Carolyn Johnson for Marion, SC, Patrice Johnson of Columbia, SC, two sons: General Johnson of Fort Myers, Fl and Elisha Johnson of Columbia, SC, two brothers: Larry Brown of Wahee Community and Fontain Danzler of New Jersey, five sisters: Barbara Ann (Joseph) Johnson of Marion, SC, Bobbie Jean (Joseph) Abram of Marion, SC. Karen (Elijah) Pressley of Marion, SC, Lisa Brown of Wahee Community, eight grandchildren, five great grands, with a host of nieces and nephews. Very close friends: Joann Abrams, Lorrine Woodberry, Ruth Johnson, Geraldine Langston and Frazell James.
She has a host of adopted children whom she loves dearly: Cassandra Godbolt, Marquita Bristow, Wanda Alford, Latosha Hughes, Claudette German and a very special son Eric Abrams, very special niece and nephew Sharon and Rick Jones, aka Her Boyfriend.
