~ Obituary ~
“I will both lay me down and in peace and sleep, for thou oh Lord maketh me dwell in safety.” Psalm 4:8
It’s a fact that life is uncertain; we are born to die; we are to watch and pray, and be ready to answer the Master’s call.
Mr. Larry Graves, son of the late Fred. T. Graves, Sr. and the late Esther Townsend Graves, was born on September 4, 1960 in Marion, S.C. On August 27, 2019, in MUSC Hospital, Florence, S.C. our Lord mercifully granted him the peace which surpasses all understanding as he departed this life after a long illness.
He received his education in the Marion County School System and graduated from Marion High School in 1978. Larry enjoyed a long career in construction and carpentry. Larry enjoyed cooking especially “grilling” and he loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his three sisters, Connie Deloris Graves, Veronica Stoutamire and Linda Sewell Graves and his oldest brother, Fred T. Graves, Jr.
Leaving to cherish his precious memories are his two sons, Anthony “Tony” Johnson (Shakita), John Michael Wilson, Jason Matthew Wilson, all of Columbia, S.C., two daughters Latasha Foxworth, Roswell, G.A. and Natasha Foxworth, Marion, S.C. Three grandchildren, Zayveon Johnson, 11 (“Tony”); Alaina Wilkins, 9 (“Tony”); and Amarah Alyce Wilson, 8 (John Michael). His siblings: Barbara (Dr. Cleveland Huntley), Charlotte, N.C., Bettie (Dec.
