Larry Glenn Brantley

Bro. Larry Glenn Brantley, 68, departed this life on Thursday May 24, 2018 in Marion County. He was the brother of Elaine Underwood. You may visit the family at 805 Robinson Court, Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel, Marion, Wednesday May 30, 2018 at 2:00pm. He will be laid to rest in the Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery, Marion.

Larry Glenn Brantley was born March 14, 1950 in Marion, SC. He was the son of the late Willie “Cooter” Brantley and Rena Smith Brantley Kirton. He departed this life on Thursday May 24, 2018 at his home after a long illness.

 He was formerly married to Gloria Crawford.

He was educated in Marion County school early on and later move to Brooklyn, New York where he furthered his education in New York City school.

Larry worked most of his life as s painter which he enjoyed. He was also employed at So-Pak-Co in Mullins, SC.

Larry was a happy person who enjoyed fishing and talking with his friends. He loved to read. He will be greatly missed by all.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one son Timothy Brantley, two sisters Jackie McClellan and Teressa Brantley.

Larry leaves to cherish his fond memories one sister Elaine Underwood, three nephews Victor (Jukeeta) Brantley and Autumus Underwood both of Marion, SC and Christopher Brantley of Hampton Va., two nieces Charise (Frederick) Rollins of Marion, SC and Yteria Campbell of Hampton, VA. A host of great nieces and nephews and one special cousin Bobby Hughes. He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews.
