Bro. Kenneth Jerome Shannon, 55, departed this life Monday June 17, 2019 in Florence County. You may visit the family at 837 Cattlefarm Rd. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Marion Sunday June 23, 3019 at 2:30 pm. He will be laid to rest in the Jackson & Daughters Cemetery, Marion.

Kenneth Jerome Shannon March 9, 1964-June 17, 2019

Kenneth “Nookie” or “Bob” Shannon departed from earth to his eternal resting place on Monday June 17, 2019 in McLeod Hospice House Florence, SC.

Kenneth Jerome Shannon was born March 9, 1964 to the late James Allen Shannon & Margaret Davis Shannon in St. Stephen, SC (Berkeley County). Kenneth was raised in Marion, SC graduated from the Marion School District One. Early in life Kenneth became a member of the Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church.

He was employed with A&A Transmission for seventeen years. He was an a number one Dallas Cowboy Fan.

On November 10, 1984, he married the late Diane Johnson Shannon and from this union two children birthed. He is preceded in death by five siblings. (Sylvia D. Smalls, Joanne Patterson, Lonzenia W. Davis, Patricia W. Shaw, Antonia “Toni” Shannon).

Those who will cherish his fond memories are: his two sons Quinton Shannon of Rains, SC; Travis “Chucky” (Latarsha) Shannon of Conway, SC, two daughters; Latorie “Torie” Miller and Shenita Nicole Robinson both of Marion, SC, two sisters: Darrie (Debbie) Ross of Goose Creek, SC; Vonda Kay Davis of New York, NY; three brothers: Levern (Karen) Canteen, Chicago IL, Kerry D.(Vernette) Shannon of Hartsville, SC, James Anthony (Tonya) Shannon of Boston MA, eight grand children, a devoted companion Phyllis Davis, a best childhood friend Michael Frierson and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
