Bro. Jerry Lorenzo Scott, 55, departed this life Saturday December 22, 2018 in Marion County. He was the husband of Kristine Gause Scott, the father of Joshua Gause, Jada Gause and Antonio Gause. You may visit the family at 308 Lonnie Court, Gresham, SC.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Bethel AME Church, Britton's Neck Saturday December 29, 2018 at 12:00 Noon. He will be laid to rest in the Old Neck Cemetery, Britton's Neck Thursday January 3, 2019 at 1:00 pm.

Mr. Jerry Lorenzo Scott, the son of Paul T. Scott Sr. and the late Elouise G. Scott was born March 31, 1963 at Conway Hospital.

He departed this life on December 22, 2018, at McLeod Hospital in Florence, S.C.

He was preceded in death by his mother Elouise G. Scott and one Brother Charles C. Scott Sr.

Jerry was a graduate of Conway High School’s Class of 1981 located in Conway S.C. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served for many years within the USA and overseas. 

Jerry was a Jack of All Trades, touching lives both young and old. Hunting was his passion, he had numerous friends who shared his passion.  He also loved fishing, karate, and serving his community. Jerry was a member and served on the Men’s Choir and Usher board of Red Hill Baptist Church in Britton’s Neck, S.C. Jerry worked numerous jobs; for 21 years he worked for Submit/Jayco. From 2017-2018 he was employed at PSI of Conway.

He leaves to cherish a loving father Paul T. Scott of Conway, S.C. a loving wife, Kristine Gause Scott, children: Joshua (Cierra) Gause of Gresham, S.C., Jada Gause of Salisbury, N.C., Marley Gause of Greensboro, N.C., and Vanesia (Cory) Kelly of Columbia, S.C. two Godsons: Braxton Jones of Gresham, S.C., and Kyler Brantley of Centenary S.C. four Sisters: Verlinear (Charlie) Richardson of Britton’s Neck, S.C., Lorianne “Evette” (Shabazz) Ahmed of Norfolk, VA., Pamelia (Timothy) Bacchus of Mullins, S.C., and Melissa (Randy) Woodberry of Conway, S.C., two Brothers: Samuel (Gloria) Scott of Aynor, S.C., and Paul (Pearl) Scott Jr. of Conway, S.C. four raised like brothers and sisters: Robert and Karen Glasgow of Conway, S.C., Stewart and Joey Johnson of Conway, S.C., and Loretta Baldwin of Norfolk, VA. and a host of aunts, uncles, and very special nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Special Friends: Willie (Cheryl) Gause, Fetrell “Tron” Gause, Patrick (Elizabeth) Cook and numerous others, too many to list, but each knowing who you are.
