Brother James Richardson was 75, and departed this life Thursday January 9, 2020 in Florence County. He was the husband of Geraldine Richardson. You may visit the family at 1720 Senator Gasque Rd. Marion.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Bethel United Methodist Church, Marion Saturday January 18, 2020 at 4:00 pm.

James Edward Richardson, born May 04, 1944, in Sumter County South Carolina, son of the late Wilbert and Wilemina Gerald, quietly answered the call of his creator on January 09, 2020 at the MUSC Health Systems, Florence, South Carolina.
James (Eddie) completed his Elementary education in the Sumter County Public Schools; afterward he moved to Bronx, New York where he completed his Secondary education in the New York State Public Schools, graduating high school in 1963.
“Eddie”, as he was affectionally called was employed by New York State Operations and Maintenance System for several years. He resided in Bronx, New York until relocating to Somers Point, New Jersey.
After relocating to Somers Point, New Jersey, Eddie was employed by A-Z Sanitation Services where he continued his employment for thirty five years, retiring in 2009. After retiring he and his devoted wife of thirty years moved to Marion, South Carolina.
James (Eddie) was a self assured quiet man, aloof, verbally honest and seriously direct. He enjoyed the comforts of his home, as well as, entertaining family and friends in his home. His favorite activities included fishing, cooking and outdoor grilling.
James ( Eddie) memories will be cherished and forever remembered by his devoted wife Geraldine Richardson; one daughter: Tammi McCrae of Ocean City, NJ; one brother: Clay Carmichael of Pleasantville, NJ; two sisters: Suanne Gerald of Jersey City, NJ; Stephanie Israel of Myrtle Beach, SC.; two brothers-in-law: Johnny McCrae of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; Jerome McCrae(Betty) of Marion, SC.; one aunt: Doris (George) of Stanford, Fl.; one uncle: Herbert E. Richardson, Sr of Nashville, TN.; two grandchildren, one great grandchild, two special friends: Alfred Barr and Paul Davis(Pally) and many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends.
