James Jerome Davis

Bro. James Jerome Davis, 27, departed this life on Sunday July 22, 2018 in Asheville, NC. He was the son of Christina Davis and Pete Jerome Simmons. You may visit the family at 313 Gause St. Mullins.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel, Marion on Saturday August 4, 2018 at 1:00pm. He will be laid to rest in the St. James AME Church Cemetery.

On Sunday July 22, 2018 James Jerome “JJ” Davis was called home. He was born March 18, 1991 to Christina J. Davis and Pete Jerome Simmons in Mullins Hospital System in Mullins South Carolina.

“JJ” attended school in Marion County where he was born and raised. To all that knew him loved to see his big smile and knew his love for kids. A kind and giving heart would be a way to describe his character!! To be a young man, he was an active and devoted father. After finishing school, he relocated to Asheville North Carolina where he later departed his earthly life.

Preceded him in death was his grandfather Jane Wallace Davis.

He leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories his mother Christina Davis of Mullins, SC, his father Pete J. Simmons of Holly Hill, SC, grandmother Gracie M. Davis of Mullins, SC, one sister: Shanique Davis of Mullins, SC, one brother Daron Davis of Asheville, NC, one son Ja’ere J. Davis of Ashevillle, NC, three uncles; Quincy Davis, Willie Davis and Dennis Platt all of Asheville, NC, six great aunts Edna Smith, Elizabeth Swinton, Ellen (Carter), Sharon Rodrigez & Vivian Davis all of Mullins, SC, six great uncles; Willie (Wendy) McClain, Roosevelt (Leola) McClain, Albert (Betty) McClain, Andrew McClain all of Mullins, SC, Charles McClain of Asheville NC, and Willie (Midge) Davis of Raleigh, NC, six special cousins but love as aunts; Penny Swinton, Avis Swinton, Tammy Swinton, Felicia Swinton of Asheville, NC, Mary McClain and Samantha (Timothy) Williams both of Mullins SC, one special friend Brandon James of Asheville, NC and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
