Funeral service are scheduled to be held at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Marion Friday September 28, 2018 at 2:00pm. He will be laid to rest in the Rest Haven Cemetery, Floyd Dale, SC.

Mr. James Covington affectionately known as “Bee” was born on August 12, 1964 to the late John Archie and Queenie Mae Jackson Covington and was raised by the late James McFarland.
He departed this life on Saturday September 22, 2018 at the MIUSU, Charleston, South Carolina.
He attended the public schools of Dillon County, South Carolina. James was a member of the Spring Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
He served faithfully on the Trustee Board, a dedicated van driver, and sang on the male choir. He was an outgoing person and always kept a smile on his face. He loved going to church and meeting people.
He was preceded in death by his brother John Archie Jr, his loving aunt and uncle Elizabeth and Johnny Fladger.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories to three sons: James (Peggy) Gerald of Florence, SC, Rakell Gerald of Georgia and Javoris Gerald of Conway, his siblings: James Lee ( Covington), Gloria (Billy) Williams, Queen (Ransom) Horne, Mary (Michael) Littles, Elizabeth Ortiz all of Marion, SC, Johnny Lee (Norma) Jackson, Killeen, Tx., Tyrone Covington, Marion, SC, Leroy (Angela) Hemmingway, Marion, SC, Larry Reaves, New Orleans, La., Linda (Elijah) Finklea, Marion, SC, Brenda Rush, Winston Salem, NC, Bernadette Reaves, Statesville, NC, Leversa McFarland, Marion, SC, reared brothers and sister: Hezekiah Brown, Nigel Goodyear and Cheryl Boatwright, a very special friend Wendy Williams, seven grandchildren, five aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
