Master Ja’Mez Ca’ron Brown 11, departed this life on Saturday August 12 in Marion County. He was the son of Carressa Churchwell. You may visit the family at 204 Stackhouse St. Marion. Service arrangements are scheduled for 2:00pm Saturday August 19, 2017 at the House of God Church, Mullins, SC. He will be laid to rest in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Mullins, SC.

Ja’Mez Ca’Ron Brown “JJ” was born on November 2, 2005 to Carressa Churhcwell and James Brown in Marion County. He departed his life on August 12, 2017 in Marion County. Ja’Mez was born with Soto Syndrome which made him big for his age, and that scared other kids but it made him want to love them more.

Ja’Mez attended Marion Intermediate School where he was a fifth grader and loved school and he was loved by his teachers and principals. You can hear a story about Ms. Brown and Keyshawn every day. Everyone who came into contact with Ja’Mez knows he was funny, kind, playful, loved to eat, dance and talk trash. That’s the kind of person he was.

Preceded him death is two grandfathers; Jessie Churchwell and Russell Legette, one grandmother; Bessie Carpenter, one special aunt; Cora Legette.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories from the home his mother Ms. Carressa Churchwell and Garlon Abrams, two grandmothers; Ms. Renee Churchwell, Atlantic City New Jersey, Lillie Reid, Marion, SC, three sisters; Brittany Ferguson, Kiana Churchwelll and Nakira Churchwell  all of Mullins, SC., two stepsisters; Kyieshia Smith, Latta, SC and Tanyia Abrams, Marion, SC; one step brother Melik Abrams, Marion, SC. , two aunts; Tonya Johnson , Atlantic City, New Jersey and Magnolia White, Marion, SC., two uncles; David Genwright and Shawn (Kendra) Johnson both of Atlantic City, New Jersey, one special aunt; Jamie Foxworth, two God mothers; Berronica Farmer, Mullins, SC and Anginina Sapp, Atlantic City, New Jersey, one God brother; Lydarus Pagan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
