Father Isacc Ransome, 86 , departed this life on Thursday May 24, 2018 in Marion County. He was the father of Annie Ruth Jackson, Marie Ransom, Mary Ann Ransom and Judy Ransom. You may visit the family at 801 Jones Ave. Marion.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel, Marion, Thursday May 31, 2018 at 1:00pm. He will be laid to rest in the Devotion Gardens Cemetery, Mullins.
Obituary
Isacc Ransome was one of nine children born on April 10, 1932 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Horace and Edna Davis Ransome. The Lord called him home on May 24, 2018.
He was known by many names; Daddy, Granddaddy, Paw-Paw, Bay, Ike and Mr. Ike. He grew up in Marion County. He was a true Southern boy; working in the fields and cropping tobacco.
As a young adult, Mr. Ike moved to town and began his career with the Coca-Cola plant in Marion. He worked there for over thirty years.
Mr. Ike live a long and joy-filled life. He had a great sense of humor. He was a strong-willed, God fearing man. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior many years ago.
He was our protector and our patriarch. He fought the good fight, especially in his later years.
In the early 1950’s Mr. Ike met the love of his life, Ms. Wilhemenia Woodberry Ransome. They united in marriage on June 15, 1954. She preceded him in death on November 2, 1989. In this union they had six children.
Ike two sons was called home to be with the Lord before him; Johnny Lee Sr. and Isiah, six siblings; Edward, Richard, Harold, Elijah “Pete”, Annie Ruth “Missy”, and Rebecca.
Mr. Ike leaves four beautiful daughters; Annie Ruth, Judy, Marie and Mary Ann, ten grandchildren; Dionne, John Jr., Vikki, Jacqueline, Isiah, Krystal, Kenneth, Sheila, Sharon and Samantha, three sisters; Annie Mae, Maggie “Sally” and Joanne, his life-long friend Wesley Warren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren that he dearly loved and will continue to watch over in spirit.
