Sister Gloria Ann Johnson, 63, departed this life Tuesday May 21, 2019 at her home in Conway. She was the wife of Jimmy Edward Johnson. You may visit the family at 1081 Highway 905 Conway, SC 29526.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 1111 Grainger Rd. Conway, SC 29527, Saturday May 25, 2019 at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Conway, SC.

Gloria Ann Bryant Johnson was born on April 14, 1956 in Conway, S.C. to the late Charles B. Dewitt and Snorie Bryant. She departed her life on May 21, 2019 at her residence in Conway, S.C.

Gloria attended schools in Horry County, SC and in Dade County, Florida. At a young age she accepted Christ as her Savior and became a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She then became a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess, a faithful missionary, member of the Young Adult Choir and Finance Committee. She loved the Lord and served in these capacities until her health declined.

Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to many. Gloria was also a faithful employee of the Conway National Bank, retiring after 35 years of service. Gloria also loved sewing, traveling, cooking gourmet meals and spending quality time with family and friends.

Gloria was preceded in death by her father Charles B. (Blanche) Dewitt, father-in-law Garfield Johnson, a loving brother, Adrian Ricky Robinson, Aunt: Barbara Johnson, Uncle: Woodrow (Sue) Dewitt, and a loving uncle and aunt that raised her as their own Willie (Annie Mae) Bryant.

A legacy of love is entrusted to the following survivors: her husband of 41 years Jimmy E. Johnson of Conway, S.C.; Mother: Snorie (Albert James) Woodard; Mother-in-Law: Esther Mae Johnson of Conway, S.C.; Daughters: Demetria Bunker of Durham, N.C., Hiawathia (Jeffrey) Riggins of Conway, S.C., Pearline (James) Richardson of Brandywine, Maryland, and Landy Johnson of Conway, S.C.; Sons: Terrell (Arneisha) Bellamy of Concord, N.C. and Clement (Tonya) Artis of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Aunts: Myrtle Pernell, Catherine (James) Benning, Clara Chestnut, all of Conway, SC; Uncle: Harold (Mary) Johnson of Conway, S.C.; Sisters: Barbara (Don) Hall of Highpoint, N.C., Sally Cox and Pastor Bernita (James) Livingston both of Wampee S.C., Ella Mae (Billy Gerald) Smith and Alisha Livingston both of Conway, S.C.; Brothers: Michael Dozier, Kevin Jackson, Donerick (Melissa) Stanley all of Conway, S.C., Joshua Best of Aynor South Carolina, Kevin Woodard of Nashville, Tennessee; Brother-in-laws: Junior (Janice) Days, Billy (Gloria) Parker, Jack Parker, Ronald (Sandra) Parker, Gabriel (Beverly) Johnson all of Conway, S.C., Dalton (Vickie) Johnson, Garfield (Jean) Johnson, Eddie (Portia) Johnson, and Wayne Johnson all of New Jersey; Sisters-in-law: Gloria Jean Days of Rochester, New York, Diane Parker of Charlotte, N.C., Creshonda Law of Jacksonville, Florida; 11 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
