Glendale Lefar Young

Bro. Glendale Young, 65, departed this life on Friday, January 17, 2020 in Marion, SC. He was the father of Katrina McNeil, Latosha McNeil, Frankie McNeil and Nicole McNeil and the cousin of Marilyn Williams. You may visit the family at 1114 D Wallace Circle, Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Bethel United Methodist Church Friday January 24, 2020 at 2:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in the Jackson & Daughters Cemetery, Marion.

~ Obituary ~

Glendale L. Young the son of  the late Essie Young, was born on November 28, 1954, in Marion, South Carolina. God in His infinite wisdom called His child home to eternal rest at the age of 65.

He was educated for a time in the Philadelphia public school system and after returning to Marion, SC he completed his education a graduated from Marion High School in 1973.  He was loving known as "Tapac" or ''Cisco". He worked for a time at Southern Packing in Mullins, SC. Later, his love of  plants and the outdoors afforded him the opportunity to earn a living cutting and mowing lawns. He was one of the best yard men in Marion, SC.

Many have said he was a hard worker and trustworthy, he didn't bother anybody, he really took care of his mom, loved his daughters and extended family.     

Glen was the oldest of two children.  He enjoyed watching sports, cheering on his beloved Rams and listening to music.  he will always be remembered as for his kindness and loving spirit.

He was preceded in death by: his mother Essie Young and his brother Richard Young.

Glendale leaves to mourn and cherish his memories: his daughters, Latosha McNeil, Frankie McNeil, Katrina McNeil, and Lashandra of Myrtle Beach, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grand children,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               His Aunt.
