Glen Maurice Williams

Brother Glen Maurice Williams  65, departed this life Sunday October 6, 2019 in Marion County. He was the father of Glenn Maurice Williams Jr. and Travis Huggins. You may visit the family at 3204 N. Hwy 501 Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the St. John AME Church, Marion Friday October 11, 2019 at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest in the Devotion Gardens Cemetery, Mullins.

~Obituary~

“Verily, verily I say unto you, He that heareth my word and believeth in me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come unto condemnation, but is passed from death unto life” (John 5:25)

Glen Maurice Williams, Sr., was born in Marion, South Carolina on June 22, 1954 to Ladson (deceased) and Lillie Bell Gause Williams.  He entered in enteral rest on Sunday, October 6, 2019 after a brief illness, at MUSC, Marion, South Carolina.   

Glen accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. John AME Church in Marion County, SC.  This church became his channel of expression of God’s love through service. 

He attended Elementary School in Spring Branch and was a graduate of Marion High School Class 1971.  Upon graduating from high school he attended South Carolina State University.  Glen was a former employee of Finger Clinic Hospital, Marion, SC and Wenczel Tile Company in Trenton, NJ.  

Glen enjoyed playing and watching football in his spare time with his cousins.  His friendliness and kindness was reflected in his smiles.  He has touched the lives of his family and those who knew him with love.  

He leaves to cherish his home going, his devoted mother, Lillie Bell Gause Williams, Marion, SC; two sons:  a devoted son Glenn Maurice Williams. Jr. of the home and Travis Huggins (Denise), Columbia SC; grandchildren Jayden Huggins and Jaxson Huggins of Columbia, SC; Aunts Ila Mae Fashion, Trenton NJ, Dr. Evelyn Graves, Philadelphia, PA, Elista Mae Davis, Columbia SC, Denise W. Gregg & Dorothy Williams, Marion, SC,  a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
