Funeral service arrangements for Mother Gladys Brock are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel Wednesday October 18 at 1:00pm. Mother Gladys Brock will be laid to rest in the Jackson & Daughters Cemetery, Marion.

Gladys Richardson Brock departed this earthly life on October 11, 2017 at Willow Ridge Assisted Living Facility in Charlotte NC. Gladys was a faithful member of the House of God Church in Zion Community until her health declined. As a member she served as Deaconess, Choir Member and Usher. She was a true prayer warrior.

She worked at Russell Stover Candies and Southern Packaging. She was the daughter if the late Nelson Richardson and Roberta Genwright Richardson.

In December of 1947 she married the late Deacon Carl Brock, from the blessed union seven children were born.

Preceding her in death were sons Carl Lee Brock and Anthony Brock, daughter Gladys Jeanette Johnson, grandson Brian Brock, great granddaughter Teona Rollins, sister Leona Beasly, brothers Albert and Junior Richardson.

She leaves to cherish and carry her legacy her children; Deloris (Shephard) Lee, Bronx NY, Sharon (Eric) Easterling, Charlotte NC, Wayne (Emma) Brock and Fletcher Brock both of Marion, SC, one sister Barbara Jean (Carl) McCummings, one daughter in law Lenora Brock, one son in law Norman Johnson, thirteen grands, nineteen great grands, three great great grands, a special friend Debra Vaughn and a host of other relatives and friends.
