~ Obituary ~

“Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.  For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.”  Thessalonians 4:13-14

General Lee Fletcher was the son of the late Colin Fletcher and Marsena Spry-Fletcher.  He was born in Marion County, South Carolina on Thursday, July 13, 1950 and departed this earthly life on Monday April 29, 2019 at MUSC Health Marion Medical Center.

“Sonny Boy” as General Lee Fletcher was affectionately known as, received his education from the public school system.  After building an educational foundation, he enlisted in the United States Army to support and defend the Constitution of the United States.  However, his worldly contributions does not end there.  He contributed to the manufacturing industry supporting the success of many organizations, with his most recent tenure at Harbor Freight Tools of Dillion, South Carolina.  There he operated in the role of Leadman/Production Team Leader to ensure efficiency and quality, but informally served as a mentor and friend to many that he worked alongside.

General Lee Fletcher was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and so much more to all that he encountered.  He was always supportive to those around him and always willing to share wisdom with anyone open to receive it.  General Lee Fletcher was joined in holy matrimony to his beloved wife Donnie (Legette) Fletcher.

General Lee Fletcher leaves fond memories to cherish and the celebration of his life to his loving and beloved wife Donnie (Legette) Fletcher of their home; his children, of which he was so proud of, Kenneth Davis, Mack Lesane, Christopher Legette (Koshina Legette), Donnetta Legette, and Kendrick Campbell; precious grandchildren, sisters Lillie B. Foxworth and Rosa Lee Barnes, and loving niece Annie May Rowell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other dear relatives, and friends.
