Sis. Flora Bell Dozier Smith 69, departed this life on Saturday September 30 in Glendale Arizona. She was the mother of Donnalee Smith McCormick, wife of the late Donald Lee Smith and daughter of the late Cristola Richardson Dozier. You may visit the family at 604 Manning St. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, Marion Friday October 6 at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest in the Florence National Cemetery, Marion.

I have gone the last mile of the way. Now I am resting at the close of my days. I know there are joy await me, now that I have gone the last mile of the way.

Mrs. Flora Bell Smith was born on August 28, 1948 to Moses Hyman and Christola Richardson both deceased. Mrs. Smith went the last mile of her way Saturday September 30, 2017 in Phoenix Arizona.

She was educated in Marion South Carolina. She met and married Donald Smith.  They became the parents of Ms. Donna Lee Smith McCormick of Phoenix Arizona. Flora and Donald was married for fifty years September 12, 2017. Donald passed away January 17, 2017. Flora was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, she served as a Deaconess, pastor aide, mass choir, kitchen aide. Mrs. Smith was employed in the hospital system of Marion SC for forty three years. She retired in 2016 because of health problems. After the passing of her husband, she move to Phoenix Arizona until her passing.

She was preceded in death by a brother Mr. James Dozier.

She leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories her daughter Donna Lee Smith McCormick of Phoenix Arizona, two grands Tyasia Adams and Tyrone Adams of Phoenix Arizona, her siblings Nadine Dozier of Marion SC, Rose (Ottis) White of Suitland , Md., Anthony Williams of Upper Marboro Md., Aaron (Marilyn) Williams of Marion, SC., seven other sisters and one brother, sister in laws Marva (James) Foxworth, Mazie Lewis of New York. Flora was a loving person, she loved her nieces and nephews, relatives, friends and lots of people she came in touch with over the years. I know I will be missed, but one day we will be together again.
