Eva Mae Gaskins McGill, the daughter of the late George Ray and Lillian Rush Gaskins was born January 27, 1954 in Florence County. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Annie Bell Gaskins and Clara Mae Graham, also four brother George W., James A., Leroy and Glen W. Gaskins

She received her formal education in the public schools of Florence County.

Eva attended St. James Missionary Baptist Church of Vox, South Carolina where she was a faithful member on the Usher Board until her husband’s failing health.

Eva was joined in holy matrimony to Shelly McGill in 1984.

Eva leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband Shelly McGill, a devoted daughter Eva Ryant of Lake City, SC, a devoted son Dennis Gaskins of Jacksonville, Fla., a step daughter Sharder Brockington of Lake City, SC. Six grandchildren Nyberia Gaskins, Aleah Ryant, Nigel Gaskins, Aaron Ryant, Eliycia and Aniyiah Gaskins, four step grands and fifteen step great grands. Three sisters Dessie Graham, Newport News, VA, Mary Gaskins (Franklin), Lake City, SC and Pearlie Fulmore, Lake City, SC, four sister in laws Geneva Williams, Queens, NY, Mary Vaughn Washington, DC , Loretta Gaskins, Lake City, SC.,and Jacqueline J. McGill, Marion, SC. A god son Lester Daniels, Richmond, VA, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
