Earnesteen Nichols Obituary

Sis. Earnesteen Nichols, 70, departed this life Saturday December 29, 2018 in Florence County. She was the mother of Christina Nichols, Omar Nichols, Shenqua Brantley, Adrienne Council, Joshua Nichols and John Marcus Nichols. You may visit the family at 2701 Sagebrush Ct. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Harvest Time Evangelistic Center, Mullins Saturday January 5, 2019 at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest in the Devotion Gardens Cemetery, Mullins.

Earnesteen Nichols was born May 11, 1948 in Jacksonville, NC and departed this life Saturday December 29, 2018 in Florence County. She was the daughter of Jesses Mae Burgess and George Langley. She grew up in Marion County and attended local Marion County Schools and was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Jessa Janae Brantley, and one brother, Lee Burgess.

Earnesteen Nichols was a loving mother and worked hard many years to support her family. She worked for Hilton Resort in Myrtle Beach for 22 years and retired in 2010. She was blessed to have received Christ in her life and was a woman of strong faith. She prayed and studied the Word of God daily and was known for her firm words of wisdom. She loved planting flowers, working in the yard, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Earnesteen Nichols was a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory, six children: Adrienne Council, John Marcus Nichols, Christina Nichols, all of Marion, SC, Omar (Schenine) Nichols of Fayetteville, NC, Shenequa (Jonathan) Brantley of Marion, SC, and Joshua Nichols of Marion, SC. Twelve Grandchildren: Tyesa Dewit, Shira Reaves, Omar Nichols Jr., Jalen Nichols, Jamiek Nichols, Christian Reaves, Isaiah Reaves, Jamar Wilkerson, Christopher Council, Jair Nichols, and Tyzeon Nichols. Four sisters and one brother: Betty Johnson and Bonnie Grice of Marion, SC, Victoria (Rutho) Johnson of Florence, SC, Alene Burgess and George Burgess of Marion, SC. Four nieces, Wendy Johnson, Dana Watts, Michele Johnson, and Ashley Burges. Four Nephews: Mark Langley, Steve Ellison, Mario Burgess, and George Michael Burgess. She also leaves to cherish her memory a special sister-in-law, Eunice Nichols, NY.

Earnesteen Nichols will be missed by all who knew her. Her strength and dedication to her family and friends will live on forever in our hearts.
