Sis. Doris A. Rogers 69, departed this life on Monday July 10, 2017 in the Carolina Hospital System, Mullins. She was the mother of Donald Brantley, Ronald (Christina) Brantley, Anthony (Denise) Brantley, Michael Brantley, Allen (Monique) Thompson, Daniel (Carmen) Thompson, and Wardell "Mark" Rogers and stepmother of Tyrone (Cassandra) Rogers.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm Monday July 17, 2017 at the St. James Soul Saving Holiness Church 74 Magnolia Drive, Hemingway, SC 29554. She will be laid to rest in the Centerville Cemetery, Centenary, SC.

Doris Ann Brantley Rogers was called home on July 10, 2017 after a long term illness at Carolina Hospital Systems of Marion. She was born on April 5, 1948 to the late Kiah Brantley and Rosa Lee Murphy. She was born in Marion South Carolina. Her parents relocated the family to Washington, D.C. when she was ten years old.

She attended D.C. public schools. She later went on to find employment within a host of jobs, including Geico Insurance and ending her career at Fort Washington, Maryland Postal Service. Throughout her years of working she had seven boys. She began her Christian journey at a very young age. She gave her whole life to the Lord and began doing his will as an Usher, proceeded to be a minister, choir director and assistant pastor until she started her own church on January 7, 2001, The Temple of Christ Holiness Church.

She later met the late Wardell Rogers, a D.C. native. Throughout her years of growing they were later married on July 22, 1984, where she had her last child Wardell Markeith Rogers a year later. She was later elevated in Christ to Chief Apostle of The Temple of Christ Holiness Church. She shortly appointed her third oldest son Anthony Lamont Brantley as pastor of her church. She decided to move back to her home state. Where she became a member of the St. James  Soul Saving Holiness Church under the direction of Pastor Annette McGee. Then she became ill for three years.

She was preceded in death by her husband the late Wardell Rogers, one sister Joyce Ann Brantley, brothers-in-law Eddie Rogers and Willie Lovett.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her loving sons; Donald Brantley, Ronald (Christina) Brantley, Anthony (Denise) Brantley, Michael Brantley, Allen (Monique) Thompson, Daniel (Carmen) Thompson and Wardell “Mark” Rogers, one step son Tyrone (Cassandra) Rogers, two adopted daughters in Christ, one god-daughter, one god son, two sisters-in-law, and a host of grand kids, great grands, other relatives and friend.
