Crister Denise Legette

Sister Crister Denise Crawford Legette was 53 and departed this life Monday November 25, 2019 in Marion County. She was the wife of Waldo Legette. You may visit the family at 812 Dunlop St. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel Sunday December 1, 2019 at 2:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in the St. James AME Church Cemetery.

~ Obituary ~

“ For I am now ready to be offered and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is a laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto them also that love is his appearing .” II Timothy 4: 6-8

On Monday November 25, 2019 an angel came into the presence of Mrs. Crister Legette and whispered “Servant Well Done your world down here is done”. Crister Legette the daughter of the late James and Dorothy Crawford was born in Marion South Carolina on October 4, 1966.

Crister received her education in the public school of Marion County, South Carolina. She was reared in a Christian home.

Crister was preceded in death by one brother James Crawford Jr. and six brothers -in-law.

Crister was a loving and funny person who lived everyday to the fullest. She was one determined, dedicated and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She so ofter touched the lives of many and will be greatly  missed by all who knew her. 

Crister leaves to treasure her memories and rejoice in her life her husband Waldo Legette, two daughters; April (Anthony), Carrie (James) all of Marion, S.C, one son Waldo Jr. (Michelle) Crawford of Florence S.C., nine grandchildren; Javen, Au’Kayla, Zy’Kerria, Zy’Kiya, Zy’Kaya, Antwan, Anthony Jr., Alayha, and Laniya. One brother Willie Moore of Charlotte, NC, six sisters; Doris Crawford, Jean (Henry) Graham, Ellen (Marshall Jr.) Gerald, Ozelma Adams, Mildred Crawford all of Marion, SC., and Cherries Yeboah of Atlanta, GA, three sisters-in-law; Doris Garner, Debra McKinstay and Linda Emmanuel all of Marion, SC., two special friends; Lois Garner and Tabitha Livingston, a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
