Clarence Adams

Father Clarence Adams,74, departed this life Wednesday May 29, 2019 at his home in Marion County. He was the father of Cregory Adams and Terrance Adams. You may visit the family at 703 Robinson St. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the St. John AME Church, Marion Thursday June 6, 2019 at 2:00 pm.

~ Obituary ~

Clarence Adams of Marion, South Carolina answered God’s call on Wednesday, May 29, 2019.  He was born on February 19, 1945 to the late Willie “Bill” Adams and the late Geraldine Adams.

He attended Marion County Public Schools and graduated from Johnakin High School in 1965. Clarence worked at ESAB of Florence for many years as a foreman.

Clarence married the late Ann Carol Campbell.  During this union they had the late Christopher T. Adams.  Ann Carol Adams passed away as a result of an illness.  He later married Barbara Ann Coker.  During this union, they had Cregory and Terrance, and together they raised their three boys.

He was predeceased by his father: Willie Adams, his mother: Geraldine Adams; sister: Lucille Hemingway; first wife, Ann Carol Adams; second wife: Barbara Adams; and son: Christopher Adams.

Clarence leaves to cherish his fond memories to his sons: Cregory (Antoinette) Adams of Marion, SC and Terrance Adams of the home; three grandchildren: Stacie Finklea, Ariel and Gabriel Adams all of Marion, SC; one great-grandchild: Layla Finklea of Marion, SC; one brother: Willie “Bill” Adams Jr. of Philadelphia, PA; two sisters: Vera Breeze of Greensboro, NC, and Mamie (Robert) Lee of Marion, SC; one nephew: Isaiah Davis of Riverdale, GA; three nieces Thelma Helen (Don) Bowens of Marion, SC, Veverly Ann Graves of Marietta, CA, and Willie Delores (Tommy) Miller of Columbia, SC who were all raised in the home with him; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
