Mother Christine Reed Rowell 91, departed this life on Saturday June 10, 2017 at her home in Gresham. She was the mother of Michael Rowell. You may visit the family at 1637 Molite Rd. Gresham. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00am Thursday June 15, 2017 at the St. James AME Church, Ariel Crossroads, Marion. She will be laid to rest in the St. James AME Church Cemetery, Ariel Crossroads, Marion.

Mrs. Christine Rowell, daughter of the late Frank and Suzanna Leonard Reed, was born September 15, 1925 in Marion County South Carolina. She passed away at her home on June 10, 2017.

She attended the public schools of Marion County. She was employed many different places. However she retired from SoPaco in Mullins, South Carolina.

She met and married the love of her life, Molite Rowell who preceded her in death. They had one child, Michael Rowell.

She was a lifelong member of the St. James AME Church where she served on the Stewardess Board.

Survivors include one son, Michael Rowell, one granddaughter, Michayla Sarita Rowell, three sister-in-laws, Betty Lou Rowell, Mullins, SC, Annie Mae Rowell, Marion, SC and Mageline Rowell, Gresham, SC., one brother-in-law, Marvin Rowell, Gresham, SC., and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, great great great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many many friends.
