Bro. Billy Ray Townsend,46, departed this life on Monday April 9, 2018 in Marion County. He was the brother of Ronnie Townsend. You may visit the family at 100 Swamp Fox Court, Centenary, SC.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel Monday April 16 at 10:30am. He will be laid to rest in the Jackson & Daughters Cemetery, Marion.

Billy Ray Townsend departed this life on Monday April 9, 2018 in the Carolina Hospital System of Marion.

Billy was born on September 6, 1971 in Marion County to the late Eddie Lee and Daisy Townsend, whom preceded him in death.

He was preceded in death by a son Ridge Townsend and a brother Michael Edward Townsend.

He attended Lake View High School, Lakeview, South Carolina, were he earned his High School Diploma in 1987. Billy found his first love in driving school buses. He got his bus license in 1985, then drove buses for Lakeview from 1985-1987. Then he came to Terrell’s Bay High School from 1993-1997. He attended Centerville Church in Centenary, SC were the Rev. Marcus Pee is the Pastor.

Billy leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories one beloved brother Ronnie Townsend, two aunts Ms. Mary Townsend of Virginia Beach, Apostle Itean Allen of Latta, SC, three uncles Paul Richardson and Lenue Richardson both of Columbia SC and Wardell Richardson of Trenton New Jersey and a host of cousins and friends.
