Sis. Beatrice Marie Leonard, 79, departed this life Wednesday October 24, 2018 in Florence County. She was the mother of Lora Gerald, Veronica Leonard, Sherese Leonard and Timothy Leonard. You may visit the family at 3511 Albany Rd. Marion in the St. James Community.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the New Hope Holiness Church 3406 South Highway 501 Mullins South Carolina 29574. She will be laid to rest in the New Graveyard Cemetery, Marion, Rains Community.

Mrs. Beatrice Marie Leonard was born in Marion County, South Carolina on July 6, 1939 to the late Hoyt and Lillie G. Smith. Marie departed this earthly life in the McLeod Hospice House, Florence South Carolina on Wednesday, October 24, 2018.
Marie was joined in holy matrimony to the late Stanley Leonard. To this union three children were born: Veronica, Sherese and Timothy Leonard.
In addition to her husband, Marie was predeceased by her parents, siblings: Hoyt Smith Jr., Carrie Mae Smith, Thelma Smith and one sister in-law Linda Leonard.
Left to cherish her loving memories are four children Lora A. (William)Gerald-Galivants Ferry, SC, Veronica Leonard-Rains Community Mullins SC, Sherese Leonard and Timothy (Anessia) Leonard-St. James Community, Marion SC. The loves of her life, grandchildren: Damian Leonard-Conway SC, Kendel Gerald –Galivants Ferry, SC ,Ta’Nashi Leonard- St. James Community, Byron Leonard, Kelik Fling, Tamara Scott, Fredrisha Legette,-all of Rains SC, Aniya Simmons and Dario Cooper-Florence SC. Four adorable great grandchildren who always brought a smile to her face: Michael Fling (whom she nicknamed Pee Wee), Ty’liek Fling, Hakeem and Olivia Rowell all of Rains, SC. Sisters: Velma (Henry) Leonard-Mullins SC, Juanita Smith-of the home, and one aunt Beatrice Richardson-Largo Florida. Brothers-in-law and sisters in laws: Lenora Smith, MacArthur Leonard- Mullins SC, Theodore (Mildred) Leonard-St. James community, Shirley Leonard (Latta, SC), special friend & cousin; Luetta Crawford and Doris Stevenson and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly.
