Arnether Moore Obituary

Mother Arnether Taylor Moore, 83, departed this life on Wednesday July 25, 2018 at her home in Britton's Neck. She was the sister of Curtis Taylor and Cecil Taylor. You may visit the family at 7655 Bay Rd. Gresham.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Bethel AME Church, Britton's Neck Tuesday July 31, 2018 at 12:00noon. She will be laid to rest in the Old Neck Cemetery, Britton's Neck, SC.

Arnetha Taylor Moore, affectionally known as “ Munt”, “ArNeat”, and “HuntT” was born April 23, 1932, to the late Mr. Sam and Dessie Taylor. She departed this life on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, in Britton’s Neck, South Carolina. She graduated from Britton’s Neck High School and attended Allen University, Columbia, South Carolina, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Art. 


Arnetha worked tirelessly as an educator in the Valdosta, Georgia; Augusta, Georgia and Marion County School systems. She touched many young lives and the lives of the young at heart. She was a member of Bethel A. M. E. Church, where she was baptized at an early age. To anyone who came in contact with Arnetha, she treated them equally, provided unconditional love, and kept their bellies full. She was well known for her delicious cakes.


She was married to the late Bencheon Moore for over 40 years.


She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Junita and three brothers, Robert, Frank, and Levern.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: step-daughter, Erica Noel of Britton’s Neck, two step-grandsons; Eli and Marcel, one sister Alverteen Taylor of the home, two brothers; Cecil (Linda) Taylor, Curtis Lee (Janie) Taylor of Britton’s Neck, SC, three sister-in-laws; Lethea Taylor, Esterlene Taylor of Britton’s Neck, Barbara Taylor-Best of Mullins, SC, several nieces, a host of nephews, cousins and loyal friends.
