Sis. April Sue Smith,61, departed this life on Monday April 9, 2018 in Marion County. She was the fiancé of Earl Rowell. You may visit the family at the home of her aunt Pearl Garner at 1209 John St. Mullins.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held at Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel Saturday April 14, 2018 at 3:00pm. She will be laid to rest in the Jackson & Daughters Cemetery.

Ms. April Sue Smith was born to the late James Smith and Evelyn Todd Smith in Carrollton Kentucky. “Sue” as she was affectionately called, departed her earthly life Monday April 9, 2018 in the Carolinas Hospital System of Marion, South Carolina.
Sue was a member Second Baptist for many years until she relocated to Mullins, SC with R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Market, where she worked until her health failed.
Sue was a 1976 graduate of Carrol County High School. She also attended Eastern Kentucky University.
Sue was a loving and caring person. She always greeted everyone with her beautiful smile. Sue was dearly loved by her family and loved her family. Sue will be sorrowfully missed.
Sue leaves to cherish fond and beautiful memories one son Jamal Smith of Mullins, South Carolina, two grandchildren Jamal Smith Jr. and Skakera Smith of Florence, South Carolina. A special friend Robin Sander of Florence, South Carolina, four brothers; Mr. James (Brenda) Smith of Havelock, North Carolina, Mr. Michael Smith of Carrollton, Kentucky; Mr. Eddie Smith and Mr. Tony Smith of Rochester, New York, two aunts Ms. Patsy Phelps of Rochester New York, Gladys Smith of Louisville Kentucky.
A devoted fiance’ Mr. Earl Rowell of Marion South Carolina, one step-daughter Shana Timmons of Marion South Carolina, two step-grands Perry Green and Laneea Simpson of Marion South Carolina, a devoted aunt Mrs. Pearl T. Garner of Mullins South Carolina, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
