Addison Wright Obituary

Bro. Addison Ernest Wright, 22, departed this life Sunday May 12, 2019 in Greenville, SC. He was the son of William and Hattie Wright Sr. You may visit the family at 628 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Britton's Neck, SC.

Viewing will be held at the Allen Galloway Funeral Home ,8881 Coosaw Senic Rd. Ridgeland SC on Friday May 17, 2019, 3pm-6pm.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Bethel AME Church, Britton's Neck Saturday May 18, 2019 at 12:00 noon. He will be laid to rest in the Beachfield Cemetery, Britton's Neck, SC.

~ Obituary ~

Addison Earnest Wright was the youngest son of William H. and Hattie Wright Sr., he departed this life on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Greenville Memorial, Greenville, SC.  

Addison Ernest Wright was born in Florence, SC and early in his life at 10 years old he went to live with his sister Alkesha Williamson in Ridgeland, SC.  He was educated in Jasper County Schools. He attended the Academy for Career Excellence in Ridgeland, SC where he received a certificate in marketing.  Addison attended Limestone College in Gaffney, SC where he received a scholarship for band.  He recently was enrolled as a student at Spartanburg Community College where he was majoring in Computer Science. 

Addison was employed at BMW. He was also an entrepreneur and built websites and marketing plans for his clients. In addition, he worked faithfully as a tutor and mentor to elementary school students through Antioch Education Systems where he was recognized for his untiring dedication to tutoring and mentoring while he was a high school student. He was an advocate for early education and encouraged youth to become lifetime learners.

He leaves to mourn his loss his parents; William and Hattie Wright Sr., his  siblings; Alkesha (Daryl) Williamson of Ridgeland, SC, Erica Wright, Kingstree, SC, Keith (Cassandra) Crosland, Marion, SC, William H. Wright, Jr., Atlanta, GA, Nickolas Brown, Sr., Conway, SC,  beloved nieces; Alicia and Clara Green of Ridgeland, SC, Kenya, Kiara, Katalina Crosland, Marion, SC,  Willow Wright of Atlanta, GA, nephews; De’Waun and Tyler Crosland of Marion, SC, Nikolas Brown, Jr. of Conway, SC, maternal Grandmother; Dora F. Brown (widow of the late Alfonso Brown), Marion, SC, Aunts Betty Willis- Campbell (Willie) of Marion, SC, Lorraine Smith, Lexington, NC, Mary Bessant (Simme), Conway, SC, Delma Wright, Conway, SC, Charles Wright (Joanna), Michigan, Addison (Oma) Wright, Jr., other loved family, host of cousins,  and friends including a dedicated friend Alvin Bacote of Spartanburg, SC.

Addison was known by his friends as a confidant and a comforting counselor whenever his friends were in need. Addison was a person who loved people and animals as well.  He was known to be a gentle soul. Addison was so endearing that people loved to be around him.  He had a special way of making all who are around feel comfortable, special, and loved. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and loved him.
