COVID-19 Policy

COVID-19 Policy Update: Effective Monday, June 7, 2021

Thank you for choosing Jackson & McGill Funeral Home to serve your family during your time of need. We take the safety and health of your family very seriously. We always strive to exceed the expectations of every family and will continue to do so during this challenging time. Please feel confident that we have taken extra precautions to ensure our facility is sanitized and safe to visit. Please note the following are policies, not suggestions, adopted by Jackson & McGill Funeral Home to help keep our families safe and facilities clean:

1. If you are sick, do not visit the funeral home or attend funeral services. This sickness includes: nausea, vomiting, cough, fever, chills, sweats, fatigue or any other symptoms that indicate you are not well. 

2. For a family member who is sick with or who have been exposed to COVID-19 and is in charge of making funeral arrangements: There must be a negative COVID-19 test to proceed with in-person arrangements. Other options are telephone conferencing, ZOOM, FaceTime or WhatsApp. Documents may be emailed or signed electronically. 

3. All visitors to the funeral home are asked to wear a mask or cloth facial covering, especially if you are not vaccinated for COVID-19. Please use hand sanitizer upon entry and exit of the funeral home. 

4. The initial viewing and public viewing will be limited to only (20) twenty people at a time. 

5. Jackson & McGill will now host funeral services indoors for 100 people or less until further notice. A guest list will not be required, but it is requested that a list of all attending family members be given to the funeral home for contact tracing in the case of another COVID-19 outbreak. 

6. If more than 100 people will attend the funeral service, the service must be held outside and additional guests (beyond 100) are asked remain in or near their vehicles. Additional guests can be invited to participate via live-streaming if it is authorized by the family.

8. We ask that all persons continue to follow the guidelines of social distancing: refraining from shaking hands, hugging, and kissing.

4) Henry L. Jackson Memorial Park (beside the funeral home)

5) Other approved outdoor venues or indoor venues that are large enough to allow some social distancing.
