Sis. Virginia Durant, 77, departed this life on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in Marion County. She was the mother of James Allen. You may visit the family at 4812 Michael's Court, Mullins.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Refuge Family Worship Church, Marion, Monday December 18, 2017 at 1:00pm. She will be laid to rest in the Jackson & Daughters Cemetery, Marion.

 Virginia Allen Durant was born on October 28th, 1940 in Marion, SC to the late Irene and George Allen. She departed her earthly life on Wednesday morning December 13th, 2017 in the Carolina Hospital System in Mullins, South Carolina. Virginia attended Marion County School.  She worked at a child care center for many years. She was a client attending St. Paul Baptist Church Adult Daycare center in Mullins, SC. She also was a faithful member at Refuge Pentecostal Church in Marion, SC.

She was preceded in death with her mother (Irene), father (George), sister (Shirley Ann Allen).

 Sister Virginia will be sadly missed by many. Surviving and forever remembered: two sisters Alice Williams of New York and Patricia Davis of Conway, SC and two brothers Ray Allen of Marion, SC and Audrey Allen of Dillon, SC. Her only child/son (James Jacob Allen) and daughter-in-law (Vivian Allen). Four grandchildren Nathaniel(Britany)of Mullins, S.C, Rashad of Mullins, SC, Whitney & Dana of Florence, SC. Six Great Grands, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
