Robert Lee Miller

Bro. Robert Miller,86, departed this life on Saturday March 17, 2018 at his home in Marion County. He was the father of Patricia Montgomery, Deloris Brown, Carol Miller, Lionel Miller, John Miller, Princess Miles, Aletha McNeil and Roy Miller. You may visit the family at 1043 Hwy 576, Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Hill Chapel Baptist Church, Duford, SC. Thursday March 22, 2018 at 3:00pm. He will be laid to rest in the Hill Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Obituary

Robert Lee “Hambone” Miller was born on February 25, 1932 to the late Laura Miller.  He was raised by his grandparents Addie and John Millette. He departed this life on March 17, 2018 at his home after an extended illness.

Robert was born in Olanta, South Carolina and later moved to the Floyds area of Nichols, South Carolina. He was a member of Hill Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and a sharecropper for many years.

 Robert was married to the late Jannie Bell Johnson. To this union ten children were born and two preceded him in death. He is survived by eight children: Deloris Brown, John (Pamela) Miller, Roy Miller, and Aletha McNeil all of Columbia, SC,  Carrol (Marcia) Miller of Charlotte, NC, Lionel (Clara) Miller of Maryland, Patricia Montgomery of Marion, SC, and Princess (Troy) Miles of Nichols, SC; numerous grands and great-grand children; extended families Bodgers, Ida May McAllister, Debra Vereen and Moses Johnson; and  a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
