Mrs. Pecolia Bell 63, departed this life on Thursday June 22, 2017 in the McLeod Hospice House, Florence, SC. She was the wife of Billy Bell and the mother of Shireese Bell and Billy Bell Jr. You may visit the family at 802 Bluff St. Marion. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm Wednesday June 28, 2017 at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest in the Devotion Gardens Cemetery, Mullins. Friends of the family are kindly asked to serve as flower and pall bearers.

Mrs. Pecolia Richardson Bell, the daughter of the late George and Jossie Bell (Nancy) Richardson, Sr. was born on October 20, 1953, in Marion, SC.

She was called from labor to reward on June 22, 2017, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC.

Pecolia was educated in the public school system of Marion, SC, and graduated from Morris College with a degree in Education. The devoted wife and mother was an educator at Johnakin Middle School and a caregiver at Kids Konnection Christian Childcare Center. Her last place of employment was Walmart in Marion, SC.

She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Marion, SC, where she was baptized in Jesus’ name, and had served as a Sunday school teacher.

In 1980, she was joined in holy matrimony to Mr. Billy Ray Bell, Sr.  To this union two children were born.     

She was preceded in death by one brother, Carlton Lee Richardson of Marion, SC; two brother-in-laws: Clarence Salters of Mullins, SC and Joe Bell, Jr. of Rains, SC; and one sister-in-law, Bobbie Jean Bell of Rains, SC.

She leaves to cherish fond memories, her loving husband, Billy Ray Bell, Sr.; two children: Billy Ray Bell, Jr. of Marion, SC and Shireese Bell of Columbia, SC; three sisters: Mrs. Joan Salters (Clarence) of Marion, SC; Mrs. Carolyn James (Timothy) of Fayetteville, NC; Mrs. Connie Blackwell (Larry) of Marion, SC; two brothers: Mr. George Richardson, Jr. (Yolanda) of Philadelphia, PA and Mr. Deval Richardson (Sharonda) of Marion, SC; one sister-in-law, Ms. Queen Ester Bell of Rains, SC; two brother-in-laws, Mr. Levern Bell, Sr. (Bobbie Jean) and Mr. Leroy Bell, Sr. (Rena); a special friend, Sylvia J. Graves; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of relative and friends.
